Little Lily Dora is about to enter the world and I was elated when John and Lizzi asked me to document some of their last moments being pregnant. Many of you might recognize Lizzi from your wedding. Yes, she has been one of my trusty second photographers and not only that, all three of us go way back to the days of… well let’s just say, pure blackmail AKA: junior high and high school. I also like to tell others that I knew John and Lizzi before there was John + Lizzi. Such a small beautiful world.

Last week Kurt and I dug out my old cameras from storage and I knew that their session would be a perfect time to play around with the ol’ medium format Mamiyaflex.
