I absolutely adore Ali’s expression during their first look!
How did you meet?
“We met on Match. We’re both really shy people, so it was sort of the perfect medium to bring us together. Late one night, after much debate with myself, I decided to take a leap, making sure to write about myself as honestly as possible in my profile to ensure that whoever wanted to talk with me would do so knowing who I am and what I’m about and wanted to meet me because of that. I started looking in the Davis area for any guys who seemed compatible, and stumbled upon the page of a good looking scientist at UC Davis – so I winked at him. He messaged right away, from 7,000 miles away in Turkiye, and started asking me about myself (hobbies, favorite foods, favorite books) and I asked him the same. When he got back from Turkiye, we arranged to have coffee at Mishka’s cafe in Davis at 6 on Thursday, August 20th, 2009. The rest is history.”
Ali and Tara’s ceremony was held in the Barrel Room and performed by Reverend John Sublett.

Ali and Tara danced their first dance to David Bowie | Wild is the Wind
During the reception the lovely belly dancer, Nyla Crystal performed three beautiful dances for the bride and groom and their guests.
Ali and Tara what was your funniest memory of your wedding day?
“Seeing our friends and family busting crazy moves on the dance floor!”
Tara and Ali, any advice for future bride and grooms?
“No matter how much you want to plan everything yourselves, delegate as many projects as you can to those who want to help! It’s important to keep yourself as stress-free as possible, so you can enjoy your special day. “
